The Nordic Championship for girls 2015 is hosted by The Danish Scholastic Chess Federation in collaboration with the local chess club; Skakklubben Springeren.

The tournament will take place at Nicolai. Nicolai is a cultural power centre right in the middle of Kolding. The complex contains 5 independent buildings but also works as one cultural unit. The framework signals quality as well as innovative thinking.  Kolding is situated in Jutland – approx. 85 km north of the German border.


Tournament rules

Five rounds using the Swiss system. Each player gets 90 minutes with a 30 seconds increment for every move. The tournament is divided into three age groups, from A to C, with two players per country in each group. The organizer can invite extra players – but not more than 49% of players can be from the same nation.

Class A: For players upto 20

Class B: For players upto 16

Class C: For players upto 13

 

Costs

The Danish School Chess Federation covers accommodation and food for two players in each group and one team leader from each country. The cost for accompanying persons is EUR 350 per person. This includes accommodation for 3 nights and 9 meals in total. Accompanying persons have to pay their national federation, which in return will be invoiced by the organizer.
